Alongside Dhoni, it may also be the last World Cup for Yuvraj Singh if he plays. The hero of India's glorious 2011 World Cup victory battled cancer soon after the event.

After battling cancer, he made several comebacks in the national team but barring a few instances he could not be consistent with his performance.

As a result, he was dropped several times from the side. He was included in the 2017 Champions Trophy squad and played a few games, including the final, but failed to impress. He was dropped from the national side after the ODI series against West Indies in June 2017.

He is also dropped from the Asia Cup 2018 squad and is currently part of Punjab's squad in Vijay Hazare trophy.

Exuberant performances only seem the way forward for the southpaw if he wants to have any shot at the 2019 World Cup.
