Ray Jennings enjoyed continuity as the Head Coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore for five seasons from 2009-2013. He took over the club after the debacle of the 2008 season of RCB and took the team to be the runners-up in IPL 2009. RCB became the runners-up once again in IPL 2011 while they were in knocked out in the playoffs stage in IPL 2010.

In the two subsequent seasons though, Jennings could not work his magic in the club and RCB could not proceed to the playoffs. In both the seasons, they ended up fifth on the points table and lost out getting into the playoffs by a minor margin. Jennings ended his association with RCB after IPL 2013. Daniel Vettori took over the reins of RCB for the next 5 seasons of IPL but could not recreate the success Jennings had with the club.

In total, he had ensured 41 wins in 74 matches for the Bangalore side. His winning percentage of 55.40 means he is the 6th best coach on the list in IPL history.
