Indians to score an ODI century against Hong Kong

In the ongoing Asia Cup in UAE, Shikhar Dhawan scored a brilliant 127 off 120 deliveries with 15 fours and 2 sixes to help India get to a fighting total in Dubai. This was his 14th century in ODIs, which he got to in his 105th ODI innings. In terms of innings played, Dhawan is the fourth fastest player to 14 ODI centuries after Hashim Amla (84 ODI innings), David Warner (98) and Virat Kohli (103).

With this knock, Shikhar Dhawan also became the seventh Indian player to score an ODI hundred in UAE and first since Sachin Tendulkar’s 101 against Sri Lanka in 2000. Before Shikhar Dhawan, Sachin Tendulkar scored seven ODI hundreds and Navjot Singh Sidhu scored two centuries while Mohinder Amarnath, Kris Srikkanth, Mohammad Azharuddin and Sourav Ganguly scored a century each in ODI matches played in UAE till date.
