#9 Arshad Ayub
The off-spinner, Arshad Ayub, had a forgettable performance in Tendulkar's debut match. While batting is not his primary attribute, he failed with the ball as well. He did not manage to pick up a single wicket in either innings and scored just one run in the first innings.
His dismal run in the Pakistan tour signaled the end of his international career. However, he went on to captain the Hyderabad side in the domestic circuit until the 1993-94 season. Post retirement, he set up the Arshad Ayub Cricket Academy (AACA) in 1998, an academy that has produced numerous fine talents.
In 2010, he briefly acted as the manager for the Indian Cricket team for a tour in Bangladesh and currently holds the office as the President of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). However, recently a complaint was lodged that players from the AACA were being given more prominence when it came to selection.
It was declared that Ayub could not hold both the posts at the same time, and he was forced to quit his academy. He continues as the President of the HCA, a post he has held since his election in 2014.
