Injured R Ashwin ruled out; Harbhajan Singh included in the ODI squad

Harbhajan Singh has been included in the one-day international squad for India-South Africa series after Ravichandran Ashwin suffered a left side strain during the first match at the Green Park in Kanpur, reports The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Ashwin injured himself while making a diving stop. He resumed soon, but couldn't finish it and walked off the field. No Ashwin forced Raina to bowl a few overs. The off-spinner came back again but lasted only one over before going back into the pavillion.

The BCCI medical team will confirm the time frame required for Ashwin to fully recovery from the injury. Harbhajan will join the team before the second match of the series in Indore. We are not sure if Ashwin will miss the remaining ODIs, but we wish for his quick recovery.
