The 24-year-old Chahar earned his maiden call-up for the Indian T20 side against England. He failed to repeat his IPL heroics and it proved to be a very average outing for him in the only game he played. However, Chahar had a very good outing for India A side in England and performed really well.
As Axar Patel is suffering from a finger injury, Chahar could well make his mark in the team as a bowling all-rounder. He has been handy with the bat as well and could well contribute to the team in crunch situations.
