#1 Andrew Flintoff (Chennai Superkings- 2009)

In his time Andrew Flintoff was one of the most sought after cricketers in the world. His all-round talent was well suited for T20 cricket. On account of his ability to create impact, Flintoff was bought by Chennai Superkings at the IPL 2009 auction. Flintoff was expected to do wonders for the franchise but unfortunately, his IPL career never took off.
The England all-rounder scored a paltry 62 runs in the 3 matches he played for CSK. His bowling wasn't great either as he took just 2 wickets at a high economy of 9.55 runs per over.
After this, Flintoff went back to England to undergo knee surgery. He did play for other teams in different T20 leagues around the world but he did not come back to the IPL. Flintoff even went on to call his stint at the IPL 'a waste of time'.
