This is a no-brainer, to be frank. A lot was expected from this young and talented bowler after a breakthrough IPL season last year. He then went to fulfill—and perhaps even exceed—expectations with his performances with India in the Asia Cup and then the World T20.

Naturally, then, a lot of eyes were fixated upon him in this year’s IPL as he came off the back of some fine form.

And he continued his fine rise in this tournament as well. He took 15 wickets in 14 games while giving away just a little over 8 runs an over on tracks that are an insult to bowlers. Extremely impressive outing for the youngster.
