The left arm swing bowler was one of the unsung heroes of the 2007 World T20 winning squad, and was a key component of the Indian team in all formats. He was a bright spark in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League too, but then ever since he has lost his swing and penetration it has all been a downhill slide.

He has faced the consequences too, as his fitness became an issue and he was never the bowler he once was. He has been picked up by franchises but has under performed and has been subsequently released. He played for the Rising Pune Supergiants, but was released before this season began.
