Mumbai Indian’s bowling coach Shane Bond is very impressed with India’s new pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah who is also going to play for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2016. Bond is elated to have the fast bowler in prime form going into this season’s IPL and feels that the bowler has come a long way in the past season.
Speaking before Mumbai Indians' opening match against the new franchise Rising Pune Supergiants, Bond said: "Last year, he played after a serious knee injury, so I didn't see the best of him. But his development over the last year is a big credit to himself the manner of hard work he has put in. He has been improving as a player, bowled really well for India in the World T20. It's great to have him with the kind of form he is in. He adds a great amount of strength to our team."
The New Zealand legend also feels that they have enough fast-bowling resources to cover for the injured Lasith Malinga who has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indian’s squad since the beginning of the IPL. Malinga was also instrumental in guiding his team to their second IPL title last year.
Mumbai Indians have foreign fast bowlers like Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee, Marchant de Lange in their side and Bond feels that the owners and the coach Ricky Ponting have done a commendable job in recruiting a couple of fast bowlers in the side.
They have also recruited a young pace sensation called Nathu Singh who hails from India and they bought him for a whopping 3.2 crores. Jasprit Bumrah might be one who will be given the job to bowl at the death as he has the natural ability to bowl yorkers.

Bumrah rose to fame in the bilateral series against Australia in Australia and since then he hasn’t seen back. He has become a regular member in India’s limited-overs side and he is doing his job particularly well. He seems to have solved the puzzle of bowling at the death which has been a curse for the Indian team for a long time.
He is someone who can dish out yorkers and is very hard to get away. He bowled exceptionally well at the death against Bangladesh in the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 to bring India back into the game.
Under the legendary fast bowler Shane Bond, Bumrah will surely learn new things which will help him in the future. Especially if he can pick up the art of bowling at the beginning from the master himself, he will surely become an asset to whichever side he plays for.
