Royal Challengers Bangalore's bowling woes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) continued as they yet again failed to defend a competitive score. After having been put to bat first, RCB scored 185 in 20 overs, after fifties from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.

Although KKR were down to 69/4 in 10.1 overs, RCB's bowling failed them as Yusuf Pathan and Andre Russell played brilliant knocks to stage what was a thrilling chase.

Here are the major stats from the game:

3 – KL Rahul has scored three consecutive fifties in the IPL for the first time in his career. He had no 50-plus score in the first 20 innings of his IPL career.

4 – Piyush Chawla has picked up the wicket of AB de Villiers four times in the IPL. This is the most he has dismissed a batsman in the IPL.

6 – Chris Gayle scored his sixth consecutive score in single digits in T20s. He has never been out in single digits for more than 3 T20s.

12 – This was the 12th time that RCB failed to defend a score of more than 170 in the IPL. No other team has failed more than 7 times.

15 – Yusuf Pathan has remained unbeaten 15 times in successful chases in the IPL. This is the most for any batsman.
