At one stage, Pune were cruising in their run chase with Steve Smith and Manoj Tiwary professionally scoring runs and keeping the run rate in check. Smith's wicket did not seem to worry Pune much with Ben Stokes coming in and getting used to the slowness of the wicket early.

Then, just as the partnership between Stokes and Tiwary was looking like it would guide Pune home, the Supergiant made a complete mess of the run chase. Stokes was dismissed off a full toss and MS Dhoni was run out in a disappointing fashion to leave them reeling.
