Although injuries to Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers have weakened the batting line up of RCB, it provides young players like Mandeep Singh and Sachin Baby an opportunity to prove their mettle and cement their place in the side.
The Delhi outfit too have been plagued by injuries and the unavailability of players like JP Duminy and Quinton De Kock will be a huge blow to their chances. It is the ideal stage for somebody like Rishabh Pant, who is on the fringe of national selection to perform well and possibly secure a place in the team for the Champions Trophy.
The left-handed batsman is known for his explosive batting in the shorter formats of the game and has been in terrific form throughout the domestic season. The possibility of a place in the national side can get the best out of him and work wonders for the Delhi team.
