2012 IPL Finals: vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai

It was the third successive final for the CSK whose fans were anticipating a hattrick of titles. CSK's top order was just brilliant. Murali Vijay and Mike Hussey added 87 runs for the first wicket. Then, it was all about the southpaw Suresh Raina who scored a quick-fire 73 off just 38 balls. CSK completed their innings at 190/3 in 20 overs.
It was daunting task for the KKR to chase down a massive target, espcially after losing skipper Gautam Gambhir in the very first over. The Manvinder Bisla and Jacques Kallis partnership yielded them a valuable 136 runs for the second wicket.
Kallis stood almost till the end and made sure the target is well within their reach. Manoj Tiwary scored a boundary and completed the proceedings, as KKR won their first ever title. CSK lost a golden opportunity to claim a hattrick of titles.
