Lockie Ferguson plays for Auckland in the Domestic circuit. He is a certified fast bowler who can hit the 150 kmph mark with an ease. On the basis of his performances at the Plunkett Shield, he was awarded a place in the national test side.

In his maiden T20I game against Bangladesh, he scalped 2 wickets in the first two balls he bowled in the game.

Last year playing for Rising Pune Supergiant, he bowled a match-winning spell of 2 wickets for 7 runs against the Royal Challengers Bangalore which included the wickets of Ab De Villiers and Stuart Binny. He bowled 18 dot balls in 4 overs of his quota. He was also awarded as the man of the match for his outstanding performance.
