IPL 2018: 4 batsmen who can take up the opening duties for DD

Gambhir will prove to be crucial for DD this year.

Gautam Gambhir, a dashing opener from Delhi, will be a big boost for DD in the upcoming edition of IPL. An attacking batsman, Gambhir is a particularly good player of spin, using his nimble-footedness to good effect. Thus, like before, the southpaw will be opening the innings for his franchise.

Gambhir has a good IPL record while opening the innings for KKR. He was the highest run-getter for KKR in the 2012 IPL which KKR won.

In addition to that, this year, Gambhir had a decent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he scored 172 runs at an average of 24.57. Gambhir would like to carry his form in the upcoming edition of IPL where he will prove to be crucial for DD.
