Krishnappa Gowtham (Rajasthan Royals)

One of the spotlights in the 2018 IPL auction was Krishnappa Gowtham. He is a 29-year-old Indian cricketer who plays for Karnataka.

He had a brilliant record in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season taking two 5 wicket hauls, including a career-best return of 7/108.

His IPL journey started in 2017 when he was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 2 crores but he didn't get the opportunity to play any match.

Despite the disappointment, he had a wonderful season in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy. In T20s, Gowtham has scored 310 runs with a strike rate of 159.79. He has also taken 20 wickets at an economy of 7.06.

In 2018, Rajasthan Royals brought him into their side by paying Rs 6.2 crores.
