Indian cricket's latest hero, Dinesh Karthik, the man who won the 2018 Nidahas Trophy single-handedly, has been given the opportunity to lead Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018. As far as the captaincy experience goes, Karthik has captained Tamil Nadu to victory in 2009/10 Vijay Hazare Trophy and has also led India Red in a triumphant Duleep Trophy campaign. He also led Delhi Daredevils for 6 games in previous seasons.
