Shorey has had a great domestic season this year

Dhruv Shorey plays for Delhi in the Ranji trophy and he has been impressive this year. He has got just a single game in IPL this year as the Chennai team is filled with quality batsmen in the team and he is only the 4th choice opener for the team

Shorey is an opening batsman and he played in that role for the Delhi team in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He was extremely impressive in that competition and was selected in the Chennai squad on the basis of his performances in that tournament.

Shorey is a class player and has the ability to hit the big shots. He is a player who is capable of using the power play to his advantage and will be more effective as an opener. RCB and Rajasthan Royals are struggling with their opening combination and he would have been an ideal fit for these teams.
