Stephen Fleming on how CSK dealt with the Dwayne Smith problem

"He hurt us when we played against him so one way to stop him was to buy him and get rid of that headache"
Dwayne Smith tormented the CSK bowlers during a match between the two sides at Wankhede in 2012. Smith continued his form into the next season and was a major headache for the Men in Yellow. The CSK finally bought the West Indian from Mumbai Indians during the 2014 auctions.
When these two sides met at Mumbai in 2014, it was the ‘Smith show’ all the way as his 57(51) guided Chennai to a four-wicket victory. Fleming was elated that the Super Kings had bought Smith, a player who tormented Chennai in the previous two editions, and that the player himself guided them to a comprehensive win against his former franchise.
