Sunrisers Hyderabad have suffered a big blow in the form of an injury to Billy Stanlake. The Australian was a key cog to their bowling department and with pace and bounce, he was just the perfect foil for Bhuvneshwar Kumar's seam and swing.
Although Sunrisers have not named any replacement so far, we take a look at five players who might receive a call-up from SRH as a cover for Stanlake.
#5 Kesrick Williams
He was a fast bowler when he made his first-class debut back in 2011, but Kesrick Williams found his reckoning as a bowler in the shortest format as a bowler who could change his pace and length with dexterity.
While he will not be a like-for-like replacement for Billy Stanlake, but with his variations, he can be a great pick for SRH, especially as the tournament wears on and so do the pitches.
#4 Junior Dala
Junior Dala made his T20 debut against India earlier this year and gave the world enough indication of his ability and prowess as a quick bowler, especially in the shortest format.
He has pace, he has movement, and he has the ability to pick up wickets, a perfect package for T20 cricket. With his changes in pace and the ability to nail his yorkers towards the end, Dala will be the perfect mix for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Expect a call, CJ Dala!
#3 Luke Ronchi
An Australian who ended his career playing for New Zealand, Luke Ronchi has transformed himself to a freelance T20 cricketer all across the globe.
Ronchi, who was the highest run-scorer in the just-concluded Pakistan Super League, was unsold in the auctions and Sunrisers Hyderabad might just take a bold decision and rope him in to bat in the top order.
SRH need an accelerator at the top of the order and Ronchi will be the perfect candidate.
#2 Andile Phehlukwayo
The young all-rounder from South Africa has been a regular in the limited overs side owing to his prowess with the bat and then with the ball.
He can get the ball to skid through and can then change the pace and bowl cutters, which is what T20 teams want in the Indian Premier League.
With the bat, he has often been compared to Lance Klusener due to his ability to go big lower down the order. He gave a glimpse of his ability in the ODI series against India when he smashed Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in a rain-affected match in Wanderers.
#1 Jhye Richardson
The young Australian is perhaps the most exciting fast bowler in the country at the moment and he has graduated from being a T20 bowler to winning a place in the Australian Test team.
Inn 19 T20 matches, Richardson has picked up 20 wickets at an average 29.35 of and an economy rate of 9.03.
He was on the bright prospects for Perth Scorchers when the won the title back in 2016-17 and then he was amongst the wickets in 2018.
With the bat, he is no rabbit either and can swing the willow and can use the long handle with great effect.
