2010 Champions: Chennai Super Kings

This very edition of IPL witnessed the start of Chennai Super Kings' dominance over the league. Having reached the playoffs two times before, CSK, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, lifted the title for the first time by defeating Sachin Tendulkar's Mumbai Indians by 22 runs in the final. CSK also won the Fair Play Award in this tournament.

Most runs: Mumbai Indians' skipper Sachin Tendulkar was the highest scorer in the third edition of the tournament with 618 runs in 15 matches averaging 47.53.
Most sixes: Robin Uthappa from RCB hit the most number of sixes (27 sixes in 14 innings) in the third edition of the league.
Highest individual score: CSK' Murali slammed 127 against RR turned out to be the highest individual score in the third edition of IPL.
Bowling Records
Most wickets: Pragyan Ojha from Deccan Chargers was the highest wicket-taker (21 wickets) in the third edition of IPL.
Best bowling figures: CSK's Doug Bollinger had the best bowling figures (4 for 13 against DC) in the third edition of the lucrative league.
