2013 Champions: Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians, under the tutelage of Rohit Sharma, won their first ever IPL title in the sixth edition of the tournament by defeating MS Dhoni's CSK by 23 runs. This edition of IPL witnessed many changes.
PepsiCo replaced DLF as the title sponsor, Deccan Chargers became the second team to be terminated after Kochi Tuskers Kerala and another Hyderabad-based franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad, replaced DC. Most importantly, the baton of Mumbai Indians' captaincy was passed onto Rohit Sharma from Harbhajan Singh.
Batting Records
Most runs: CSK's Michael Hussey was the best scorer in the sixth edition, gathering 733 runs from 17 innings at a normal of 52.35. Hussey beat Gayle by only 25 runs to prevent him from turning into the most noteworthy scorer for the third time in a row.
Most sixes: It was Gayle yet again with 51 sixes in 16 innings.
Highest individual score: Chris Gayle's unbeaten 175 off 66 balls was the highest individual score in the sixth edition of the league.
Bowling Records
Most wickets: CSK's Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo sacked the most number of wickets (32 out of 18 innings) in the sixth edition of IPL.
Best bowling figures: James Faulkner from Rajasthan Royals took 5 for 16 against Sunrisers Hyderabad and it happened to be the best individual show with the ball in the sixth edition of IPL.
