2014 Champions: Kolkata Knight Riders

Gautam Gambhir became the second captain to win two IPL titles after Dhoni when he drove KKR to yet another trophy. This time they beat George Bailey's KXIP by three wickets in a high-scoring final in Bengaluru.
Interestingly, this was the only IPL final in which a team chased down a score in excess of 200. This edition, yet again, witnessed the withdrawal of a franchise in Pune Warriors India. In addition to that, this season was played over two legs because of general elections in India. The first leg was played in the United Arab Emirates while the second in India after the elections.
