Maxwell has been struggling against Jadeja in the IPL

Maxwell has been having a torrid time in this year’s IPL. In the 10 previous games, he scored only 142 runs with a below-par average of 14.20 with the best being 47 vs KKR. Today he came out to bat 3-81 when in form Pant was dismissed on the last ball of 11th over.

The onus was on Maxwell to steady the ship and take the team to a respectable score. But he played a rash shot and got out to the bowling of Jadeja for five runs.

He played a reverse sweep of an overpitched delivery that pitched and crashed on to the leg stump.

This was the third time in a row that Maxwell was dismissed of the bowling of Jadeja vs CSK and surprisingly all of them were bowled.
