With Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer already in and Prithvi Shaw getting in as the uncapped pick for the day, I have the Delhi side of things covered for the match. If Jason Roy survives Yuzvendra Chahal, his only real threat today presuming Royal Challengers Bangalore are unlikely to play Murugan Ashwin, he can come good, but I don’t see it as a risk worth taking at this stage of the tournament.
From RCB, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are straightforward picks despite the indifferent form they have been in. Delhi might bring CJ Dala in today in place of Liam Plunkett, but the bowling attack is still there for the taking, especially when you are as good as the RCB pair.
Normally with the kind of options I have, I wouldn’t think twice about using a multiplier; however, the problem here is that the two best captaincy options today bat at No.4 for their respective sides. That’s too low. And in addition to it, none of the four capped players in my team today open the innings, so things could easily go wrong.
Ideally, when you activate your multiplier, you would want your players to be at the crease right away, and I see better matches down the line where I could have that.
