Fondly called as ”Chinna Thala” by the Chennai fans, Suresh Raina earned the name through his on-field consistency with the bat which is further highlighted by smashing 700 fours in T20 history, and only two Indians achieved these feet before. He was consistent in all editions of the IPL and never had an offseason with the bat and always relied on hitting boundaries to maximize his strike rate instead of taking the lofted route for scoring the maximums. He is the next captain in the waiting for Chennai Super Kings, if and when Dhoni decides to call it quit in the near future.
