Easily the most consistent and among the most successful squads in IPL history, Chennai Super Kings are the only team that have appeared in the play offs of all the seasons that they have been part of, with the team appearing in a record 6 finals between 2008 and 2015.

One of the major reasons of their unprecedented success is their ability to make superstars out of rather low-key performers, and none of this is more true for any player than one Murali Vijay. Vijay was their breakthrough star in 2010 and played the best knock by any player that has ever played for CSK in the 3rd season.

Playing against a strong Rajasthan Royals squad in Chennai, Vijay started his inning slowly, with his opening partner Hayden taking the charge. It was, however, after Hayden's dismissal that Vijay began just knocking the ball out of the ground.

Aptly supported by Albie Morkel, who was building his own inning as well, Murali Vijay oozed past the 100-run mark. His inning of 127 runs from just 56 balls, which included 8 fours and 11 sixes, helped CSK reach a huge total of 246/5. Despite efforts from Naman Ojha and Shane Watson, RR could only manage 223/5, giving CSK a 23 run win.
