#1 Royal Challengers Bangalore (175* by Chris Gayle)

It just feels right that the highest individual score by a player in a T20 match belongs to the best T20 player in the history of cricket, and what better platform to hit that record-making knock than in the biggest T20 league in the whole world.
Chris Gayle was part of Kolkata Knight Riders for 3 years, but his IPL career took a turn for the good after he joined the RCB squad in 2011. He was highly responsible for RCB's impressive performance in the last few years, and his career reached the pinnacle in 2013, when he single handedly destroyed the Pune Warriors India's bowling line up with easily the best batting display in T20 cricket history.
After being asked to bat first by Aaron Finch, Chris Gayle launched an attack on the PWI bowlers straightaway, bashing Mitchell Marsh for 28 runs in a single over. Breaking the record for the fastest T20 century, Gayle reached his hundred even before the 10th before, taking only 30 balls.
Perfectly supported by Dilshan and AB, Gayle hit 13 fours and a record 17 sixes to his career-best inning of 175* in just 66 balls. The spartan-type inning propelled RCB to a record total of 263/5. Already rattled by the decimation of their bowling line up, PWI could only manage 133/9 in their 20 overs, giving RCB a victory by 130 runs. Till this date, 175* is the highest individual score in any competitive T20 match.
