#5 Kings XI Punjab (122, Virender Sehwag)

The Nawab of Najafgarh makes another entry into this illustrious list, and, this time out, he is taking the top spot for the Franchise from Mohali. After making it to semi-finals of the inaugural edition of IPL, Kings XI Punjab endured a rather dry spell in IPL as they struggled at the bottom end of the table during the subsequent 5 seasons.
A strong performance by the revamped squad saw them reach the play offs in 2014, but they needed a dazzling performance against CSK to book their place in the finals. Enter Virender Sehwag, who was having a rather lukewarm IPL till that point.
Batting first against a solid bowling line up in a do-or-die situation was never gonna be an easy task, but Viru had something else on his mind. Right from the very first ball of the inning, Sehwag started bashing the ball all around the ground. With propitious support from Manan Vohra and David Miller from the other end, Sehwag smashed 12 fours and 8 sixes during his 122-run inning from just 58 balls.
His knock propelled KXIP to a gargantuan total of 226/6, which turned out to a little to much for CSK despite an early scare from Suresh Raina, and eventually led to a 24-run victory for the team, booking them a ticket for the finals for the first time.
