IPL 2018, MI vs CSK: Five Best Memes From Season-Opener

Enter captio

Amidst a lot of excitement and enthusiasm, the Indian Premier League commenced last night. The tournament started with a grand opening ceremony at the iconic Wankhede Stadium before the defending champions Mumbai Indians took the field to face off against the Chennai Super Kings. The fans had a lot of expectations from the match as the two most successful teams of the championship were up against one another.

CSK had a pretty good start but with the help of two scintillating knocks by Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav and a sensational cameo from Krunal Pandya, MI posted a total of 165/4 in 20 overs. Super Kings started their second innings on a good note but soon started to lose wickets. They lost Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu and then MS Dhoni, making a comeback almost impossible for the visitors. But what happened next, as they say, is history. Out came Dwayne Bravo to win the game single-handedly for CSK.

Chennai fans now had two reasons to cherish this moment. The return of their team after 2 years was already enough for the fans and then that blistering finish by Bravo was the icing on the cake. On that note, here we look at the Top 5 Memes from the IPL opener.
