In a chase of 214, RCB's captain Virat Kohli made 92 runs off 62 balls and the rest of the batsmen made only 68 runs off 59 balls. The next highest score after Kohli was Quinton de Kock's 19 runs.

In spite of the Indian captain carrying his bat through, RCB lost the match by 46 runs as there was no support from other batsmen. In the same match, he also became the leading run scorer in this year and also the overall highest run-getter in IPL history.
