Not many expected Abhishek Sharma to get a chance in DD's playing XI and he only got three opportunities. However, it was enough to showcase the enormous talent he possesses. Scoring 63 in 3 games at an average of 63 and a highly commendable strike rate of just under 200, Sharma got every commentator wondering why he was benched for the majority of the season. His unbeaten knock of 46 runs in just 19 balls against RCB received praises from everywhere.
