Kaul earned a call-up to the Indian team due to his good form in the IPL this season

2018 turned out to be the season where Siddarth Kaul finally emerged from the shadows of Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the Sunrisers.

With Bhuvi missing from the line up due to injury, Siddarth took the responsibility of leading Hyderabad’s attack on his shoulders.

Mastering control over the knuckleball and possessing an excellent yorker at the death, Kaul emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the Sunrisers with 19 wickets.

His best performance came in the game against Mumbai in which he picked up three wickets for just 23 runs and helped Hyderabad defend a total of 119. Kaul earned a place in the Indian ODI team through his consistent performances in the IPL.
