Glenn Maxwell was snapped up by Delhi Daredevils in 2010- a time when he was far from being the superstar that he is today.

Maxwell did little of note in the initial years of his IPL career before he hit the jackpot with a USD 1 million contract from the Mumbai Indians in 2013. His best years, however, came 2014 onwards playing for the Kings XI Punjab, where he won matches single-handedly when on song, but was alarmingly inconsistent.

The good news for DD is that his recent form is outstanding, and coach Ricky Ponting, who also mentored Australia's latest T20 series, seemingly gets the best out of him.

The Daredevils shelled out INR 9.5 crores for the "Big Show" at the 2018 auction and would hope to see the best of him in IPL XI.
