SRH has always been known for their bowling and even in this season, it is their bowling that is helped them win matches even in this season. With the loss of Warner, the batting of SRH was always going to be weak and in spite of Williamson heroics, they have the least run rate in the tournament.

Kane Williamson has been in ominous form for the Sunrisers as he scored 661 runs for them. In the fourteen innings that he played, Williamson has scored eight half centuries. The only other batsman who has come good for the table toppers was Shikhar Dhawan who scored 437 in 13 innings. These two have scored nearly fifty percent of the runs for the Hyderabad based franchise.

The problem in their batting has been the middle order as Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Shakib Al Hasan have failed to perform on a regular basis.

In spite of having the worst run rate what keeps them away from being worst batting team the runs per wicket ratio of 28.59 which is the third best for any team in the tournament.
