After back-to-back defeats, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to go to the playoffs with a win under their belt when they play the Kolkata Knight Riders at Hyderabad on Saturday night.
A win on Saturday will mean they will enter the playoffs placed on top of the table. Here is how they could line-up at home on Saturday:
Alex Hales: The England opening batsman, who was picked as a replacement for David Warner, has had an okayish tournament so far with the bat having made 148 runs in six matches at a strike-rate of 125 and he will look to head into the playoffs with a big score under his belt.
Shikhar Dhawan: One of the best players of the franchise, Dhawan has had a good IPL so far and he will look to get a good score under his belt heading into the business end of the competition.
Kane Williamson (C): The franchise's best batsman in the competition, Williamson has been quite brilliant with the bat having made 625 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of over 140. The team will bank on him once again to come good with the bat on Saturday.
Manish Pandey: The Karnataka right-hander finally got some much-needed runs under his belt in the game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and he will hope for more of the same on Saturday.
Shakib Al-Hasan: The Bangladeshi all-rounder will look to have a hit with the bat heading into the playoffs and also look to grab some wickets under his belt.
Deepak Hooda: The Indian all-rounder who walked out to bat in the dying moments in the last match will hope to get more batting time in the game on Saturday.
Shreevats Goswami: In the absence of Wriddhiman Saha, the franchise have given Goswami a chance to show his prowess with the gloves and the bat.
Rashid Khan: He's the team's best bowler and one they would hope goes into the playoffs with some confidence under his belt as they look to win their second crown.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: The seamer, who missed the last game could be the only change, coming in place of Basil Thampi, who had a game to forget in the previous match.
Siddarth Kaul: The last three games have seen Kaul being hit for 44, 40 and 48 runs respectively. On Saturday, he will look to put in a more economical performance with the ball and end the league phase on a high.
Sandeep Sharma: In the absence of Bhuvneshwar, the new ball responsibilities have fallen on the shoulders of Sandeep Sharma and after a decent opening spell, he has failed to deliver in a similar fashion towards the end overs.
