Adam Milne was hired by Mumbai Indians as a replacement for the injured Pat Cummins last season. He wasn't given a single opportunity to prove himself and remained on the bench. This was when they had 3 overseas fast bowlers in their squad, including him. This season, they have 3 overseas quicks in the squad excluding him, which makes it even more difficult.

He has just recovered from a 3-month long injury and will be rusty. He can crank it up and bowl at speeds exceeding 145kph. However, he has shown the tendency to leak runs at the death, a factor which could work against him.

They also have a pace-bowling all-rounder in their ranks in the form of Ben Cutting. At the moment, it looks very difficult for Milne to play a game and only if luck favors him, can he play a couple of games.
