#2- Mohit Sharma
Once a regular in the Indian Team, Mohit Sharma made his IPL debut in 2013 for CSK and found great success for them until they were banned for two years after the 2015 IPL. Mohit played 47 games for CSK from 2013-15 taking 57 wickets at a decent economy of under 8. After leaving CSK, Mohit has not been the same bowler as he has managed only 33 wickets from 37 games at an economy of above 9.
He was released by KXIP for the upcoming season because of his disappointing performances in the last season. Last season, Mohit managed only seven wickets from nine games at a high economy of 11.
Though Mohit Sharma does not have the pace, he still can trouble the batsman with his outside off stump yorkers and back of the hand slower balls. With Chennai lacking depth in the bowling department, it becomes quite obvious that the team management will look to bring Mohit Sharma back to CSK. Maybe the magic touch of Dhoni, the captain is what he needs.
