#2- Axar Patel
Axar Patel's release was probably the most surprising one in the trading phase of IPL 2019. He was the only retained player for the Kings XI Punjab but had a poor season last time around. Despite that, he is still one of the best Indian all-rounders in the league and is likely to create a bidding war at the auction.
Axar Patel can play both alongside or in place of Shakib Al Hasan in the SRH lineup. He can be a powerful hitter batting at number 7 and has the technique required to build a partnership as well. His preferred area to be, though is with the ball in hand and can choke the opposition batsmen with his accurate bowling and deceptive pace.
Axar can free up an overseas slot if he plays instead of Shakib and provides a lot of experience and balance to the side. Under a team management who are known for their backing of players, Axar might find a great home in the Sunrisers' den and they must look to acquire him at the auction.
#1- Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell can make any team look powerful and is sure to attract huge bids at the auction. He had a below-par season for the Delhi Daredevils leading them to release him ahead of the auction. His performances internationally, have been great and his current form can prompt teams to go after him.
Every team who have signed him till now have hoped that he can explode because if he does, he is an unstoppable player. While the Sunrisers haven't gone for the commercially big T20 players, they might look to change their trend and bid for the Mighty Aussie.
They have lacked the aggression and power in the middle order and a great team management led by Tom Moody and the presence of David Warner can make SRH the best possible destination for him if they decide to bid for him.
