Umesh Yadav started off his Indian Premier League journey as a part of Delhi Daredevils in 2009. He stayed with the Delhi franchise till 2013 before he moved to the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. His heroics with the ball for KKR helped the team win their second IPL title that year. This was the first ever IPL title victory of Umesh Yadav's career.

Unfortunately, till date, it remains to be his only IPL championship win as KKR could not win the IPL after 2014 while Umesh moved to RCB in 2018.

Last year, RCB could not make it to the second stage of the season and with the way they have played this year, the team is not expected to make it to the top four of the points table.
