#2: Buy a good all-rounder
Delhi Daredevils have a good pace bowling all-rounder in the form of Chris Morris, but their second all-rounder Jayant Yadav, who didn't have much role to play in IPL 2018, cannot be considered a reliable option.
Last time, Delhi Daredevils suffered a huge blow as their prime all-rounder, Chris Morris got injured in the middle of the tournament. This impacted their strategy heavily, and the result was a poor show at IPL 2018.
This time around, they would be looking to have another good all-rounder to complement Chris Morris.
This would be another area where Delhi Daredevils might spend heavily, and they do have good options available in the form of Corey Anderson, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, Carlos Brathwaite, Axar Patel and Javon Searles.
#3: Buy an Indian pace bowler
Delhi Daredevils have a sorted spin bowling department with 2 genuine spinners in the form of Amit Mishra and Sandeep Lamichhane. Then they have a good back-up option in the form of Rahul Tewatia, who had a good IPL 2018 and Jayant Yadav, who can be handy with a few overs in a match.
Their pace bowling looks good too as they have two good pace bowlers in the form of Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult, and an emerging speedster, Avesh Khan, who looked impressive too last year.
However, considering Delhi Daredevils would want to play only 2 of Sandeep Lamichhane, Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult, a good front line Indian pacer can help strategize their bowling combination based on the nature of the pitch.
Considering the Indian bowlers available in the auction, Delhi Daredevils can look to buy from Jaydev Unadkat, Mohit Sharma, Vinay Kumar and Barinder Sran.
