However, he recently made his T20I comeback against Sri Lanka. He scored 20 runs and picked 4 wickets in his comeback match and was adjudged man of the match.

In recent times, Denly's performance in T20s has been exceptionally good. Denly was impressive for Kent in T20 Blast 2018. He scored 409 runs from 12 matches at an average of 37.18 and strike rate of 145.03. In a match against Surrey, Joe Denly smashed a hundred and took a hat-trick with his leg-spin during the T20 Blast 2018 and became the first player to do so.

So far, Denly has played a total of 196 T20s and has scored 4904 runs from them at an average of 28.02 and strike rate of 122.63 with 4 centuries and 29 half-centuries. While he has picked 28 wickets at an impressive average of 19.85 from 29 innings while bowling.

Denly was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 1.0 crores at the IPL auctions 2019. For KKR, Denly could be a star performer with the bat at the top of the order in IPL 2019. He can also contribute with his leg-spin as well. So it will be worth watching him in the upcoming edition of IPL.
