#2- Athisayaraj Davidson ( JONES Tuti Patriots)
Athisayaraj Davidson finished as the second highest wicket-taker in TNPL 2018. Something which attracted more attention than his stats was his bowling action which was low and slingy and was compared to that of Lasith Malinga. He was hailed as the 'Indian Malinga' and made the batsmen's life difficult.

He picked up 13 wickets from just 7 matches last season at a great bowling average of 19.23 and a simply excellent strike rate of 12.9. He also had a good time at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he picked up 12 wickets from 9 matches with a good economy rate of 7.73 and an average of 19.33.
His action can become the new sensation in IPL and he could become one of the stars if he's signed. Much like Siddharth Kaul who used his chance when he got it, Athisayaraj took his chance to play T20 cricket from college cricket and now stands a chance of being picked by an IPL team. CSK and RCB will certainly have their eyes on this young pacer who promises a lot.
#1- Varun Chakravarthy (Siechem Madurai Panthers)
Varun Chakravarthy was probably the biggest find of the TNPL season. This mystery spinner could be the real deal and become hot property at the auction. Varun picked up 9 wickets in 10 matches at a simply unbelievable economy rate of 4.70 and could be very effective in the powerplay. He was one of the main reasons why the Siechem Madurai Panthers lifted the TNPL trophy.

It was very hard to pick his bowling and even experienced TN players found it to score runs off his bowling. Much like a Washington Sundar who cramped the batsman for room, he was stringent with his line and length. He also had a great outing for the Tamil Nadu and picked up 22 wickets from 9 games in the limited overs fixtures. He could become a sensation in the IPL and it will be a battle between teams like CSK and MI to acquire his services.
