#1 Adequate Backups and Not many Players leaving Midway through the Tournament

The Cricket Boards of England, Australia and South Africa have said that the players in their World Cup squads will return by May 1, meaning that they won't be around for the closing stages of the tournament. Many prominent players like Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch and Mitchell Starc have opted out of playing this season and the franchises have made their plans to sign players in the auction considering this as well.
The KKR squad, besides possessing balance, also has adequate backups for players who will be leaving midway and even those players are few in number. Only Chris Lynn is set to leave halfway through the tournament and they have players like Joe Denly to back him up. They also have pacers like Harry Gurney and Anrich Nortje in case Ferguson is called back by New Zealand.
This clever policy of retaining and releasing of players shows the experience of the coaching staff led by Jacques Kallis, and it's one of the many reasons as to why KKR can flourish this season.
