#2 Ishan Porel

The 20-year old pacer Ishan Porel has gone unsold in the IPL auction for 2 consecutive seasons and it is quite surprising. He was highly impressive with his pace and swing in the 2018 U19 World Cup and played a key role in India's victorious run. Due to his height, he can extract bounce on any kind of surface and used it to good effect in the tournament.
He enjoyed a fruitful domestic season with Bengal and picked up wickets in all formats of the game for them. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, he picked up 9 wickets in 7 games at a strike rate of 18.6 and had an impressive economy rate of 6.5. RR's Indian pacers were off colour for the majority of the season, and they didn't have a lot of Indian fast bowlers at their disposal.
While Varun Aaron was impressive, Jaydev Unadkat and Dhawal Kulkarni were woefully out of form. Ishan Porel would have been a useful buy for them as he could have operated in the power play and in the middle overs.
