#3 Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran came with a big reputation in the IPL auction. The West Indian batsman had made a huge name for himself with his power hitting in various T20 leagues. Due to his hard-hitting abilities, Kings XI Punjab spent ₹4.2 crore to buy him in the auction.
The wicket-keeper batsman did not get many chances to prove himself in the early part of the season. The 23-year-old played a few good knocks in the seven matches he got to play this season. While he failed to get a big score this season, his strike rate of 157 speaks volumes about his ability to come up with big hits.
KXIP struggled this season due to a lack of support for KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. They missed out on qualification due to an inferior NRR. The franchise could have been in a better position if they had given more chances to Pooran.
