MS Dhoni has taken CSK to nine semifinals in the ten seasons they have played so far. He has managed to win the Championship thrice in those nine occasions.

Rohit Sharma for Mumbai Indians and Dhoni for CSK have won three trophies respectively. And in this year both will look to repeat the feat to become the team with most titles. Chennai Super Kings has the most experienced and balanced side of all teams and they might just run away with the trophy if they are able to replicate their performance from the last season

Dhoni played a key role in last season with 455 runs for CSK. With him and most players in the team nearing their last year or two in their career, MS Dhoni will be keen on repeating the performance of last year. In doing so he might become the captain with most IPL trophies. It is a record that might be broken. Yet, It will be a highlight when he ends his career as a player.
