#7 Axar Patel - Delhi Capitals

Axar Patel was considered to be the spin bowling all-rounder capable of replacing Ravindra Jadeja a few years back. He was also highly rated in the IPL circuits and was one of the players whom the Kings XI Punjab management constantly trusted for years.
He last played in 2018 against South Africa and could not live up to the expectations. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya has come into the squad and is now rated much higher than Axar Patel. Jadeja also has made a comeback of sorts into the limited over cricket during this period and is now higher up the radar than Axar Patel.
Strength: A proper spin bowler who can bat
Axar will know this reality well and has only one option left to claim his spot back. He will have to produce some extraordinary performances in IPL 2019 to force the selectors to look at him as a spin bowling all-rounder who can bat. Coming into the Delhi Capitals franchise, he will be hoping that he will be able to concentrate on his game to force a comeback to the national side.
