He has only 34 runs to his name from 3 matches at a poor strike-rate of 61.81 and average of 11.33. He has wasted a lot of balls to settle himself at the crease and has never managed to get going.

Also, it is mandatory for Ambati Rayudu to get back into form quickly so as to be in the contention for the No.4 spot in the Indian team. Though Chennai Super Kings are comfortably placed at the top of the table, Ambati Rayudu's form remains a major cause of concern.
